Christmas Market
Club members had a stall at the Noarlunga Football Club Christmas Market.
Pancakes made with our secret recipe were popular with market goers, as was the "Reindeer Dust" for the young ones.
Do we have everything??

President’s report November 2 2022
Tonight we are raising money for Australian Rotary Health for its ‘Lift the Lid’ campaign funding research into mental health

Hat Jokes
Why couldn’t the student remove the hat from his laptop?
Because the CAPS LOCK was on

What do you call a dinosaur in a cowboy hat?
Tyrannosaurus TEX

What type of hat do you wear to a café?
A CAPaccino

Thank you everyone for donating to ARH and by wearing a hat for research into mental health. This is definitely not the time to ‘Keep it under your hat’! Share the work done by Australian Rotary Health in discovering cures for mental illness.

Calperum visit has been cancelled due to Flooded roads.

So much goes on behind the scenes to keep a club vibrant and active. Thank you Phil for the new gas bottle for the BBQ trailer. We loaned the large BBQ trailer to the combined low income action groups and the Reynella Benevolent group.

Thank you Chris M for arranging the float and electronic devices for our bbqs and for the banking and reimbursements that follow. Our 29 Oct Halloween BBQ at Bunnings made $1627 which was a sellout.  Thank you everyone who worked so hard on the day.

Thank you again to Merilyn and everyone who made our information evening on the 19 October such a success. The format worked well and we are looking at having another one in the future.

What is in a name? DIK [Donations in Kind] is now known as RARE. Rotary Australia Repurposing Equipment.  If you would like to find out if a sausage cooked by our District Governor tastes any better than the ones we cook at Bunnings, there is a working bee on Saturday November 12. 9:30-12 noon. Eventbrite has a booking link.

Speaking of BBQs, we have a BBQ on 13 Nov and would love someone to coordinate and other members to volunteer on the day. Roster will be circulated. Please let Dini know if you are available to do a shift.

Chris A has volunteered to coordinate a BBQ for the Flinders Nurses breakup party at Sturt Campus, Flinders Uni on 2 December. 100 people to serve between 12-2 pm. Look out for the roster.

Reminder that our AGM is due in December, think about nominating for a leadership position.

For members taking advantage of the 20% discount on meals at Jimmy Deans, annual membership of the SAFC is now due.

Youth Director Phil arranged a sponsorship by our club to local 14 year old, Ruby Kerrison. Ruby is the only under 14 trampolinist from SA to attend the International championships in Sofia, Bulgaria this month. Our club has Donated $500 to Ruby for the trip.

Social evening meal at the Morphett Vale RSL is coming up on 18 November. Please see Merilyn if you would like to attend.

Reynella Christmas Pageant is on 9 December. Our club will be cooking a BBQ in that day. Susan is coordinating this one.

Congratulations to our club member Raelene, who has become the first female President of the Semaphore Surf Life Saving Club. Raelene also began the 'Silver Surfers' a 40 strong group of older surf club supporters.

Club Christmas lunch is on 11 December. Catering options are being collected.

Our Community Garden is about to begin. Assistance is needed to weed and prepare the area at Rotary Hall. See Dini to express your interest.
