Grand unveiling Rotary Hall
Community Garden  flourishes
Our community garden has grown and a neighbour is interested in planting flowers amongst the vegetables.

Schnitzel Night Success
Dining Room Manager Josh drew the winning tickets for Jeanette, Phil and Angie at our Schnitzel Night Fundraising Event on 8 August.

Raising funds to assist the homeless in our area brought Rotary Members Lyn, Jan and Noeline from Goolwa to enjoy the night.

Sandy sold raffle tickets to members and guests to raise more funds and the Crown Inn Hotel donated $5 per schnitzel to aid the event.
The night raised $695.

Benny kicks a belter
match report from SAFC
our Under 18 sponsored player Benny Barrett was mentioned.
https://www.safc.com.au/blog/juniors-match-report-round-16-v-west-adelaide

'Clearing out the middle with purpose saw the ball sail into the attacking fifty, after an exit and swift re-entry towards the goals Benny Barrett would shake his defender and kick a belter.'

A week later, Benny Barrett was again named  in the best players for the game against Norwood.   Final score South Adelaide 48 d Norwood 18.

Well done Benny.
Recycling mornings still popular
Fundraising for Interplast https://interplast.org.au/get-involved/rotary-clubs-districts/ and helping the environment go hand in hand at the Rotary Sheds.
A delicious morning tea and good company makes the morning even more worthwhile.

Traffic Marshall training
Safety - Safety - Safety!
The message  stressed by Senior Constable First Class Garreth Jones
[Protective Security Coordinator (Counter-Terrorism) Security and Emergency Management Service], was safety for yourself and for the traffic you manage.
Garreth discussed clear hand signals, being aware of the traffic at all times, not turning your back and wearing hi-vis vests.
Sounds simple, but a clear understanding of a volunteer's role under law is essential to keeping everyone safe.
Thank you to members and guests from Seaford Rotary, and Seaford Lions who shared the training and to SA Police for making Garreth's time available.
