Spring is here and the wicking beds at Rotary Hall have been replanted with seedling donations from Noarlunga Bunnings. Fresh lettuce, cucumbers, zuchini, tomatoes and bright marigolds have been planted in the rich soil and the reservoirs refilled with water. Dini dug and planted whilst Marion spread a lot of water around. Alan and Jeannie popped in to assist with the weeding too. The harvest will be enjoyed by locals and the Hackham West Community Centre in due course. Our previous Parsley and rhubarb plantings are looking good and continue to be a useful 'cut and come again' crop. Apple and rhubarb crumble anyone? Excellent soil for our young plants Thank you Milena for Bunnings generous donation of seedlings for our garden Making rainbows |
