12 months ago, the Rotary Club of Coolamon in NSW launched a ‘Sunflower Seeds for Ukraine’ project where donated sunflower seeds [Sunflowers are Ukraine’s national flower] were sold by Rotarians as a fundraiser for Ukraine. This project has now come to an end and their final newsletter has been published. See news of this project on the Rotary Club of Coolamon web site. Thank you to everyone who made the BBQ such a success on Saturday. And to our raffle ticket sellers inside the store. The weather was perfect and quite a few customers commented on how nice the sausages tasted. Well done cooks. Also the bread manufacturers are now putting 17 slices per loaf where there used to be 19 even though the weight is the same. Thank you, Garry for getting the extra bread needed for our sold out BBQ. Choice magazine has called this ‘shrinkflation’ and has focused on the companies that are giving us less for a higher cost. Everything from ice cream to tissues are coming in smaller lots. Keep a lookout in your supermarket.
