Murray's life was one of family and service to others. Murray joined Morphett Vale Apex Club in 1970 (which was started by Rotary). Whilst working in Papua New Guinea he was elected their Apex National President in 1978.and was granted life membership ten years later when he reached their age threshold of 40. After returning to Adelaide via time in Darwin, he was invited to join the Rotary Club of Noarlunga East in 1990. Murray held many positions on the board including President and and hosted Rotary International Exchange students from Germany and Denmark. He received a Paul Harris Fellow pin with sapphire for his dedication and service. After retiring, Murray joined the Morphett Vale Probus Club (also started by Rotary) in 2008 later being granted life membership. Murray was a friendly, social, engaging club member and inevitably had a story for any situation. Our sincere condolences to Joy and family. President Merilyn, Murray and DG Craig |
