Club Forum notes
Meeting opened at 7:00pm
A club forum is an opportunity for all club members to discuss our club's programs and activities and to educate members both old and new.
Rules of engagement:
We all have a right to be heard
We respect confidentially
We listen and 'be present' during discussions
We find our own 'voice' share our own truth, not parrot others opinions
Seek permission before giving advice
Be willing to make mistakes
Accept the majority view even if it conflicts with my own
Don't access private electronics during the forum

Forum began at 7:10pm
The Forum began with a short video by Shekhar Mehta reminding of the themes for Rotary year 2021-2022
"Service being the rent we pay to live on this earth" Serve to change lives.
An APEX article was shared about Peter an inspirational man who completed the 'City to Bay' run without legs.
Budget papers to contain 'actual' costs not rounded to the dollars.
Volunteer man hours to be noted for each project
Members would like more awareness of the decision making process where club projects are decided and the recipients of funding decided.
Discussion about dispersion of funds gained by Bunnings BBQs. Which Community Projects are funded etc.
BBQ roster was discussed and members encouraged to volunteer for BBQ duty.

Discussion about the motion in the 2020-2021 AGM - Considered and actioned.
Discussion about club board minutes and their accessibility -each member is entitled ask for a copy of the minutes and to attend board meetings as an observer.
At General meetings the President and each Director discuss the latest developments in their area, this includes items decided at the board meeting.
Notes from each General Meeting are published fortnightly in the ebulletin.
Process for presenting fundraising ideas to board discussed.
More advertising planned for Melbourne Cup Lunch
'Guess who's coming to dinner' event on the 30th October is well subscribed
Online raffle process discussed and it was decided to leave offering another on-line raffle for the time being.
Discussion whether the same person can win 3 prizes in the same raffle. Is it fair, will it build better friendships, will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Mother's Day Community Raffle was agreed to and will go ahead for 2022.
More fundraising ideas requested.
2 Christmas Fairs coming soon. We will buy a stall for 7 Dec.
Event planning procedure discussed with the following suggested additions - What - When - Where - what is the projected profit and what staffing will be required
