Meeting 90 notes

Our General meeting on Wednesday 16th June was the final meeting of the 2020-2021 year.

 

President Susan had a full program and welcomed Jody Holdbeck [and her dog Xanthe], Chris Andrews, speaker  John Price and Aubrey Wagner from RC Edwardstown, Cherylin Fleming RAM and RC Encounter Bay, and Alan and Jeannie Nelson.

 

After the President's report, Garry was welcomed with the news that we made $1000 at the Bunnings BBQ on the Queen's Birthday Holiday. Great work Rotarians.

 

 

Merilyn reminded members to promote our 'High Tea' on 1 August and to book for the tour of the South Adelaide Clubrooms on Wednesday 23 June.

 

Ian shared an update on the work being done on the wet area in Rotary Hall. After painting, cupboards and the electrician have been scheduled. Due for completion by the end of June.

 

 

President Susan then presented a $500 cheque to Cherylin Fleming for Rotarians against Malaria. Cherylin made a special visit to see us from Encounter Bay.

 

Our Speaker for the evening was John Price from the Rotary Club of Edwardstown. John  shared many photographs of picturesque Nepal and some of the many projects  he and his club have been assisting with. He then presented President Susan with a Nepalese scarf to mark the visit.

 

Next meeting 700pm  Wednesday 7 July with new President Merilyn Russell for 2021-2022.
