Notes from the general meeting 92/93 held on 4 August 2021
22 members and 3 visitors attended the meeting at South Adelaide clubrooms.
 
Meeting opened 7pm with visitors Jeannie Nelson, Aubrey and Leanne Wegner and speaker Roger Trethewey from RC Coromandel Valley welcomed.
Apology from Gaynor Power due to injury.
 
Drought Outreach event cancelled due to covid may be rescheduled.
Online Father's Day Raffle is live. Promote widely to obtain funds from outside sources.
Vote taken for the presence of the Polio Ute at the Australia Day Breakfast event.
Walk for mental health 10 October.
DIK working bee 23 October.
Members needed to co-ordinate the Australia Day Breakfast event and the Community Mother's Day Raffle event.
Pichi Richi Railways trip 20-23 August. Meeting after this meeting to confirm details.
Thank you for flowers, card and good wishes from Merilyn after her stay in hospital.
Board meeting on 11 August with changed venue.
Football season finals dates confirmed with rosters circulated for members to note their times to assist. COVID restrictions on oval volumes as per 2020. e-tickets will be used.
Members are asked to ignore Xanthe the working guide dog when she accompanies Jody to meetings and events. Patting and talking to the dog distracts her from her task as she is still a young dog in training.
Roster available for Sunday 16 Bunnings BBQ.
Trevor Parry Sensory Garden tables and benches to be delivered. Merilyn and Joy will be available for handover.
Hackham Community Centre back to school packs to be considered.
Rope winding and recycling to be held on 14th and 28 August. Ray to provide morning tea on 28th as Joy will be away.
Beanies, scarves and rugs to be sold as a fundraiser next winter. Get knitting and crocheting.
Auditor getting our financial records for auditing this week.
$20 to go to Tony for the DIK walker taken  from the shed. Wheelchair sold for DIK returned to us for resale.
Tony's wife carol returning from hospital this week.
Appreciation certificate and thank you for good customer service to go to Bunnings employee for excellent assistance with items for the Hall kitchen renovation. 
Rima's Luncheon fundraiser for victims of domestic violence by Rima Tashman is on 17 October.
Rotary Shed key issues solved with special lubricating spray. Use sparingly whenever needed. Spray with nozzle provided.
Next meeting Calperum speaker and also footy gates information update.
Although the 'ROBIN' rotary program for building bird boxes has ended. Roger Trethewey from the Rotary Club of Coromandel Valley gave an interesting talk on the history and achievements of the program and the hope that another club with available equipment may be willing to continue. Different birds require different sized boxes. Bat and possum boxes were also discussed. With the decline of availabilty of tree hollows due to bushfires and deforestation, bird populations are under threat.
Annual Plant sale by RCCV will be held Sat 14 August at Waite Reserve in Blackwood.
A new large sized 'presentation' cheque has been purchased for use by the club.

A permanent sign to show our meeting location and time suggested for the doors at the South Adelaide Football Club.

Extraordinary Board meeting opened 8:24pm to reallocate authorization for bank signatories. Meeting closed 8:27.
Special meeting was held after this for those attending Pichi Richi weekend 20-23 August. 14 members booked. Details to be sent from Merilyn via email noting times, places, planned events and what to bring.
All members then left.
