General meeting notes 18 August 21
Meeting opened 7:01pm
Apologies: Dini, Susan, Chris, Ray and Alan.
Merilyn welcomed guests and speakers Don Will from District 9510 CATE [Calperum and the Environment] Committee and Malcolm Martin from the Southern Football League.
RAWCS Drought Relief Program rescheduled to 9 September. Dini, Phil, Merilyn and Jeanette to attend.
DIK working bee visit 23 October 2021
Walk for Mental Health scheduled for 10 October.
Rosters will be available at the door for members to add their names and availability.
Mark Simpson will co-ordinate Australia Day Breakfast 2022.

Directors Reports given.
Malcolm Martin then spoke at length about the changes to money and ticket collection at the footy gates for the SFL finals. Members received a handout confirming these details.
Speaker Don Will from the Eastwood Rotary Club and CATE Committee spoke about the new Rotary Area of Focus – the Environment- and described how clubs and district projects promoted this new focus.

Don then spoke about the history and planning for the future of Calperum Station near Renmark. Our club is encouraged to undertake environmental projects and involve youth in local community projects.
Council grants have been submitted for our Community Garden and defribrillators for local surf lifesaving clubs.

Speaker next meeting will be Jeff Podger and his experiences with the Army Cadets.
