NOTES FOR MEETING 109, APRIL 20, 2022

Meeting opened 7:00pm.
Welcome to meeting 109, our guest speaker Jarrod Eaton from Glenthorn Farm, Kiwanis, and President.
Lions, and President, Cheryle Barry, last time as a guest.
Apologies from Susan, Raelene, Grant, Ian, Gaynor, Christopher A, and Jeanette.
Bunnings BBQ held Easter Monday: Thanks team we raised $634.
Mothers Day Raffle sales continue at various sites. See Merilyn to add your name to the roster. Every ticket sold is a winner for the club.
Knit and Natter April 27, Rotary Hall. We have spoken to a number of ladies who are interested in joining our group. Please take a flyer with you tonight and invite someone to join us.
Guess Who’s coming to Dinner??? Saturday, May 14. Have you told Raelene that you want to be involved either as a host or a guest. It is important to speak to Raelene to let her know to enable her to plan the event. A wonderful way to get to know some of your fellow Rotarians.

OPEN FORUM: Will be held May 18 This is the opportunity to have your say, good or bad to enable the current board and the new board to answer your questions, concerns to give them the opportunity to work with members.
As it is suggested it is an OPEN FORUM for the members.
Trevor Parry Centre, Working Bee. Dini, Joy, Gaynor and myself painted the table and benches at the last working bee.
Next date is Monday, May 2 at 1 pm. Join us - we need to move a large pot with a lemon tree in it and some other light duties.
April 25, RSL Morphett Vale, Gun Fire Breakfast, breakfast for 300 for Morphett Vale RSL Club. The roster is out and we still need a couple of people to help cook and serve the breakfast. Please see me and thank you to the members who have committed to help.
May 1 is District Assembly, please have this date in your diary. Support Marion and learn the most up to date district information ready for the new Rotary year. We will car pool. Meeting point to be 38 Golf Course Drive, leaving at 7.30 am. Please add you name to the list so we know who to expect.
Directors your annual reports are due to our Secretary, Dini Whyte now. email them to the club email address
Peace Pole - We have received $150 in donations towards the cost of the Peace Pole. When we met with the Council recently we now have been able to include the application for the erecting of the pole in the current lease holding application the council is working on. More information shortly.
Community Garden at Rotary Hall, hopefully more information very soon, we are getting closer.
Beanie Sale, Saturday, June 25 at Southgate Square. Money raised with year will support Spirit of Women. Take some flyers and promote this event for Joy.
Junction Family Fun Day, May 21, Saturday. Being held in the park in Warsaw Avenue, Hackham. We will be cooking for 400 people. The roster has been completed and thank you to the members supporting this event.
Scatter meeting,, Wednesday, June 1. On this night all members are invited to choose a Rotary Club to visit. This is a great way to meet new Rotarians in our organisation. My suggestion is that 2-4 members join together to visit a club, but please ensure you have advised the club of your choice that you are coming to their meeting and how many members will be attending. I have sent the club information to you all, please organise to visit a club of your choice with some other members and have fun.
Board meeting will be Wednesday, May 11 and the June board meeting is Wednesday, June 8 for the current board and new members who will be joining the board next Rotary year. Both will be held here at SAFC.

CLOSING REMARKS:
Thank you attending to Jarrod Eaton for speaking to us tonight and to our Kwinani guests for attending our meeting, trust you have enjoyed the night and hopefully we can meet again together in the future.
Our next meeting, Wednesday, May 4, when we will be drawing our Community Mothers Day Raffle.
Unfortunately Nat Cook and Katrine Hildyard are now both apologies as Parliament will be sitting that day.
