NOTES FOR MEETING 107, MARCH 16 2022

Phil welcomed President Merilyn
Mothers Day Raffle sale sites and days refer roster.
We have total sales of $950. Some members have returned their books and
taken another 2 books. We enjoyed a great day at Bunnings, inside taking
$210, we will be next to BBQ next Saturday and then at Kangarilla Family Fun
Day on Sunday. Thank you to Mark, Joy and Sandy.
We have a number of opportunities at Bunnings, the next 2 Vines Markets at
Old Reynella. and at the Reynella Plaza located in front of Coles,
We need Foreign capital, and lots of it, not just members money, by our
member selling their 2 books only will not give us enough money to support
future projects members want to participate in.
Support from all members is required, as May 4 is not very far away.
We will have Nat Cook and Katrine Hylard attending this meeting to assist with
drawing the raffle.

Knit and Natter March 23, Rotary Hall. Our last meeting was successful with 3
new people attending. Not a lot of knitting was done, however, the natter
was vibrant and fun and all new people are planning to return on March 23.
The Working Bee will follow at 12.30. Thank you to those members who are
able to help on the day. Please support Dini, many hand make light work, and
one member should not do all the work.
Saturday ,March 26 visit to DIK. Has been deferred to Saturday, May 28.
OPEN FORUM: Wednesday, March 30, Will be held at SAFC We have taken
the opportunity to hold this important meeting as we had to cancel in January
due to Covid-19. 5.45 for ordering meal, meeting commencing at 7 pm.
Trevor Parry Centre, Working Bee. As you are all aware we are supporting the
Trevor Parry Centre maintain their refurbished garden. Our next afternoon
to help is Monday, April 4, 1-3 pm. The main project for this day is to stain
the 2 tables and bench seats our club paid for. Bunnings have donated the
new people attending. Not a lot of knitting was done, however, the natter
was vibrant and fun and all new people are planning to return on March 23.

Rohan our Science Forum attendee will be speaking to us on Wednesday, April
6.
April 25, RSL Morphett Vale, Gun Fire Breakfast, breakfast for 300 for Morphett
Vale RSL Club. We will be speaking to you all for assistance on this morning.
May 1 is District Assembly, please have this date in your diary. Support Marion
and learn the most upto date district information ready for the new Rotary
year.
We will car pool. Meeting point to be confirmed.
Directors your annual reports are due to our Secretary, Dini Whyte by May 1,
thank you.
Peace Pole - We have received $150 in donations towards the cost of the
Peace Pole. When we met with the Council recently we now have been able
to include the application for the erecting of the pole in the current lease
holding application the council is working on. More information shortly.
Defibulators for Scout halls -have been purchased and we are waiting for
confirmation of the dates so we can present to the 2 Scout Groups who will be
receiving them for the halls.

Supporting Ukraine - District will look at providing unallocated funds to support the Ukrainian people and neighbouring countries.

Paperwork has been completed for our sponsorship to the 'One and All' student.
Alex from the City of Onkaparinga Waste Management Section informed and educated us about the waste streams in Onkaparinga for domestic waste. Handy tips and tricks for managing our waste were shared.
