So close to our Presidential changeover on Sunday. Each year on July 1 [or close to it] Rotary Clubs change their President and some of their Executive positions. This brings fresh ideas and energy to the club whilst still ensuring continuity for projects still in progress.
Our retiring President is Susan Podger and incoming President Merilyn Russell. Susan will remain on the board as Past President.
The function of our club board is to select projects and authorise funding for those projects.
A club's board directs what the club undertakes and how much is donated to selected projects. The Board also takes care of the administration tasks needed to run and promote the club. They apply for grants and identify training suitable for members.
