11 members and friends braved the rain this month for recycling on Saturday 5 October. The morning was productive and an opportunity to share news with each other.
Jess was there as usual watching us all and accepting pats as her due. Merilyn, Cheryl and Marion removed foreign objects from the aluminium ring pulls including 25 cents in coins [straight into the donation jar], an earring with blue stones and a few loose screws.
Ray made sure we had plenty of unsorted ring pulls work with and the others were untangling, rolling and bundling rope for sale. It was wet outside, but nice and warm in the shed. Joy arranged a delicious morning tea and was ready on time. Murray and Tony also joined the crew for a chat and to catch up.
Terry thanked everyone for coming and appreciated all the work done. The ring pulls alone will earn the club about $120.
