Mehreen Rehman is a telecom engineer by profession who made Australia her home 10 years ago after getting married.  She now lives with her husband and two daughters. Alongside being a freelance engineer and a homemaker, she also runs a small home baking business.Mehreen is actively involved in community work and currently serves the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women's Association  as Secretary Interfaith Harmony and External Affairs, where she works to promote understanding and connection between people of different faiths, backgrounds and communities. Mrs. Rakhshanda Kokab who was the president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Womens Association, chapter Adelaide South from year 2015-2024. was also welcomed to our meeting. Rakhshanda is currently serving in various internal educational programs that involve training and educating young girls.
Mehreen and Rakhshanda explained the many community and outreach services provided by their Women's Association, and spoke about encouraging women and girls to grow strong and independent. Rotarians have been encouraged to join their cooking classes at Christie Downs Community Centre where traditional dishes are cooked and eaten together.
