Marcus recently attended Rotary's sail training on the 'One and All' sailing ship. Nominated by his martial arts instructor, John from Tugra Shan, Marcus presented his story to club members. Initially wary of an unknown experience, Marcus soon became the leader of his team and even took the helm before the ship returned to port. Martial arts training gave him an advantage. He said it isn't easy to steer when you can't see where you are going. You rely on others to guide you. Marcus describes the attributes of good leader are empathy, listening and not asking someone to do something you woudn't do yourself.
