At 6:47pm on Sunday 21 December a small group gathered at the Peace Pole next to Rotary Hall in Christies Beach to remember those killed and injured during the terrorist attack on Bondi Beach on 14 December.
We lit candles and spoke of peace. Prayers were said; Jewish, Muslim and Christian as well as quotes from the Dali Lama and Laozi an ancient Chinese philosopher. The desire for peace is universal. We ended by quoting the words on the Peace Pole.
