A busy Bunnings BBQ completed this year's fundraising events. Katrine Hildyard MP came to help us during the busiest time and encouraged customers to sample our excellent cooking.

 

At 6:47pm on Sunday 21 December a small group gathered at the Peace Pole next to Rotary Hall in Christies Beach to remember those killed and injured during the terrorist attack on Bondi Beach on 14 December.

We lit candles and spoke of peace. Prayers were said; Jewish, Muslim and Christian as well as quotes from the Dali Lama and Laozi an ancient Chinese philosopher. The desire for peace is universal. We ended by quoting the words on the Peace Pole.

Time to reflect

Members, friends and family shared a Christmas meal and a fun evening to end the 2025 Rotary year. President Phil was presented with an award from our long term partners Tugra Shan Martial Arts Academy. We welcomed guests Helen, Gaynor, Shane, Steve, Beverley and Jeannie. Had some fun with Christmas Bingo and a 'Left, Right' game. Congratulations Cheryle for winning the prize which was donated by Bunnings.
