
Stephen Pallaras was South Australia's Director of Public Prosecutions (2005-2012), where he prosecuted some of the state’s most notorious criminals.
Internationally, he was involved in bringing some of the biggest global Fraud and Drug King Pins to trial. In a single year, he successfully prosecuted 11 murder cases, has a solid record of not having lost a major case and won against the famous F Lee Bailey (OJ Simpson case) in the USA.
His many commendations for excellence come from agencies including the US Department of Justice, the US Drug Enforcement Agency DEA, The Federal Police of the Netherlands and the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department.
In short, Stephen is one of the most experienced criminal lawyers in Australia.
Internationally, he has also held the position of Executive Committee Member of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Agencies and was Vice President of the International Association of Prosecutors.
An anti-corruption advocate, he has been engaged to address Parliamentarians in Fiji, Vanuatu, Kiribati and the Marshall Islands, and as an anti-domestic-violence and women’s rights advocate, he has been the keynote speaker to the United Nations on International Women's Day.
Stephen has also held various positions: Adjunct Professor of Law (University of South Australia), Judge (Solomon Islands), Consultant (Secretariat of the Pacific Community, UNDP), Lecturer (Zhongnan University, Beijing University), Vice President (IAP), and Member (IAACA).
