Dini, Cheryle, Merilyn and Marion braved the heat on Australia Day to officially hand over an All Terrain Wheelchair for use on Moana Beach. A Grant for the wheelchair was sourced from Amanda Rishworth MP and Amanda praised the work of volunteers in service clubs and Surf Life Saving Associations as they help others in their community.
The specialised all terrain wheelchair can be used to remove injured persons from the surf and beach, transport those with a disability to the water and navigate over rough beaches.
