RYLA dinner at the Glenelg Golf Club on Tuesday May 27 was the high point of the week long leadership camp at Nunyara, Belair for 31 participants.
The historic property hosted a multicultural array of young people eager to learn leadership skills and make friendships that will last longer than the training week.
Quality presenters challenged young minds in
- Public Speaking
- Self Confidence
- Presentation
- Conflict Resolution
- Corporate and Social Ethics
- Creative Thinking
- Problem Solving
- Team Building
- Being a valuable Team Member
- Goal Setting
- Building Relationships
RYLA's focus is on assisting young people to develop their abilities as leaders, and to encourage them to reach their full potential as valuable members of society.
Participants seized the opportunity to develop leadership, communication and problem solving skills, practiced new behaviours, forged life-long friends and challenged their personal belief systems and values.
RCMV club members filled the roles of Registrar, Camp Manager and camp parents. Our sponsored student Nelson, excelled in all fields, even leading his group in an impromptu meditation session. That what a new leader is all about. Confidence in themselves, sharing skills and care for others.
