Contact from South India
Our club not only partners with Rotary Clubs in South Australia, but also those overseas. Our recent contact with Isaac from the Rotary Club of Vaiyampatti in Tamil Nadu in South India has meant assisting with the start of a hall and homework centre for their town. Contact from Ukraine
Another contact was made recently from Victor in north west Ukraine and the town of Berdychiv. Although a new Rotary Club, only two years old, its members are young and enthusiastic. Some recent projects have been planting trees, cleaning up around the old monastery, donating a generator to the local school and lobbying the council for timely bridge repairs. The club is active in also partnering with clubs from Poland, Sweden, US and Canada. Berdychiv town has an old beauty and is rich in history.
